Investment Criteria

There are two ways that Trilogy Investment Group will invest in an operating business:

  1. Buy a portion of the operating company (minority or majority). Proceeds can be used for growth capital and/or recap capital (owner taking chips off the table).

  2. Buy a majority position or entirety of the business and help the owner transition out of day-to-day management by finding and installing new management.

TIG is looking for Texas and California privately-owned companies with consistent pre-tax net earnings between $1 million and $3 million. These companies need to also exhibit some of these characteristics:

  1. Recurring revenue and customer base.

  2. Owner(s) looking to transition out of leadership or sell their business in its entirety.

  3. High-quality leadership team looking for growth capital.

  4. Business-to-business service company.

  5. Quality brand name and a strong reputation.

Our thesis is simple. We believe there are seemingly boring businesses that solve important problems for their customers. These businesses are often run by extremely sharp and passionate individuals that simply need resources—capital or expertise. We hope to help business owners by supplying those resources.

We are currently interested in:

  1. Real estate services.

  2. Recycling and trash disposal.

  3. Home and business services.

  4. Niche financial services.

  5. Niche manufacturing.

If you have an investment that fits these criteria, please contact us.
